Severn Sands was established in 1983 by current managing director Robert Breen.
Based on a 7 acre site at Alexandra Docks in Newport, they deliver sand, aggregates and ready mix concrete to customers throughout Newport, Cardiff, Bristol and the valleys. Their competitive pricing and customer service have allowed us to expand into the company we are today, operating throughout Newport, Cardiff, Bristol and the valleys. They have licences to dredge 500,000 tonnes of sand per annum, using our 60 metre dredger, The M. V Penfret, they supply a majority of the national builders merchants, as well as the construction industry directly. While also using the sand in ready mix concrete operations.
